UM Higher Education Ed.D. student, Deidre Finee Ruffin was recently promoted to Executive Vice President Chief Enrollment Management, Information Technology, and Marketing Officer at Jones College.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to expand my professional leadership portfolio to include new areas within our institution,” Ruffin said. “Working at Jones College has allowed me to give back to my community in ways I could not have imagined as a student. I am humbled to be a part of an institution that has given so much to me as a student, a professional, and a member of the community.”

Ruffin oversees multiple campus entities ranging from recruiting and marketing, to information technology at Jones College.

I am responsible for all areas of enrollment growth, campus-wide technology initiatives, all college brand management, the generation of new student leads, institutional fundraising, and alumni relations,” Ruffin said.  “The divisions that I am working with link together the life cycle of the student at Jones. It is a position with a unique perspective on holistic student engagement, and I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to be apart of it all.”

Ruffin notes that she is looking forward to continuing to assist the students of Mississippi with their pursuit of higher education.
