Attention Students: New Printing Procedures in Guyton Hall

by UM School of Education on November 12, 2014

The UM School of Education has introduced a new process for student printing in Guyton Hall. All SOE students now have access to two monochromatic laser printers located in Guyton Hall rooms 215 and 225. A fee of $.10 per page will automatically be billed to students’ bursar account. Before printing, students must log in with their WebID and password and download the printer software. Under the new system, students will be able to print from anywhere on the Oxford campus.

  1.  The instructions for installing the printing software can be found here.

  1.  Once the software has been installed, two printers named “Guyton 215” and “Guyton 225” will show up as printing options from the File > Print menu in any application.

  1.  Students can use either printer from anywhere on campus.  When they do so, a box will pop up asking them to enter their WebID and a name for the print job.

  1.  After submitting a print job, students can log in to the release station in Guyton 215 or 225, select their job and release it to the printer.  Their bursar account will automatically be billed $0.10 for each page printed.

Note:  The print release stations in Guyton 215 and 225 show the same job list. So if one printer is occupied, out of paper, or down for maintenance students may log in to the other location and print their document.
