Lera Winders (BAEd ’25) emerged victorious in the university-wide singing competition, Ole Miss Idol. The Amory native won the annual singing competition with a rendition of Adele’s 2011 hit “Rolling in the Deep,” which she reprised for Ann Monroe’s morning class. View it here!

Just a few weeks prior, Sam Sepe (BAEd ’24) secured the coveted homecoming title of Miss Ole Miss. Throughout her impactful campaign, “Smile with Sam,” the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native demonstrated exemplary leadership. The campaign, which raised funds and awareness for the William Magee Center, focused on supporting student wellness programs, addressing eating disorders, and combatting substance abuse.

The dedication, talent, and commitment of both winners reflects well on them as individuals but also on the wider School of Education and its commitment to community engagement and inspiring others.
